IMMORTALITY

 

Immortality is a science fiction adventure novel about an ordinary man who finds himself in extraordinary circumstances.  Facing the end of his working life his retirement plans change in ways he could never have imagined.

 

First he learns that we are not alone, “the Diridian Empire was an ancient civilization, stagnant, full of ritual and history, but very few fresh ideas and only a select few scientists eager to innovate”

 

Then there’s the strange characters he meets, “We watched as one of the indigenous humanoids came out of the cave amongst the dust created by the falling rocks. He hesitated looking around for the source of the disturbance. I marvelled at the giant of a man with his mottled skin and white hair.”

 

Some terrifying moments, “Then there was silence but I waited too frightened to move less they return. Just when I thought it was safe, a noise behind me caused the hackles on the back of my neck to stand up. I turned quickly not knowing what to expect.”
